About Us

We are Susan and Michael Johnston and we bought Tigh Ban in 2016. We spent the next year travelling to and from Glasgow every weekend to refurbish and decorate. We opened to guests in August of 2017.

We love coming to Glencoe, and do our best to visit ourselves, at least one week every month. We've been up most the hills that can be seen from Tigh Ban, and always have our fingers crossed for snow in the winter.

We thoroughly enjoy having friends and family come to visit. Our two adult sons like to bring their friends too. We are still discovering places to visit and new walks, and hope to keep doing so, in the future.
